Product structured data: an ecommerce validation checklist
Structured data describes information a page already provides. It is not a way to add imaginary ratings, hide a different price or guarantee a special appearance in search.
Scan your site free1. Find what your platform already outputs
Inspect a product page and identify existing Product markup before installing another app or pasting new JSON-LD. Multiple plugins can create conflicting descriptions of the same item. Check the current Google documentation for the requirements relevant to your page type.
2. Match the visible offer
Verify product name, price, currency, availability and identifiers against what a buyer sees. Test discounted prices and variant selection as well as the default item. Only publish review or rating markup for genuine, eligible information following the applicable guidelines.
3. Validate representative URLs
Run Google's Rich Results Test on several public product URLs. Separate errors from optional recommendations and inspect the detected items. A test of one product does not establish that every catalog template or currency works correctly.
4. Keep feeds and pages aligned
If you use a merchant feed, compare its current price and availability with the page and markup. Structured data and feeds can complement each other, but neither replaces accurate product information. Trendifyn does not manage your merchant account or product feed.
5. Recheck after template changes
Add markup validation to your process for theme, app and pricing changes. Review your own Search Console enhancement reports when available. Valid markup can support eligibility, but Google decides whether and how a result is shown; Trendifyn does not provide a rich-result guarantee.
