Ecommerce internal linking: connect guides and products
Internal links should help a shopper continue a task. They also make your store's structure easier to discover. Start with important pages that are hard to reach rather than adding the same keyword link everywhere.

Choose important categories and products, then follow normal links from the homepage. A page that appears only in a sitemap may lack useful navigation. Do not rely solely on search boxes, filter controls or scripts to expose your catalog.
2. Link buying questions to relevant products
A guide about selecting a tent can link to the suitable tent collection at the point where the reader understands the choice. Explain why the destination is relevant. Treat this example as a planning pattern, not evidence of a particular store's results.
3. Use descriptive anchor text
Prefer natural text that explains the destination over repeated 'click here' links. Keep links useful within the sentence. Avoid stuffing exact-match keywords into every anchor or adding unrelated products merely to increase link counts.
4. Repair broken and indirect paths
Update links that lead to removed products, obsolete campaigns or unnecessary redirects. Choose the closest useful destination, not the homepage by default. Trendifyn's Site Audit reports broken links from a limited selection of public pages; it does not prove the entire catalog is error-free.
5. Review after catalog changes
Check related collections, guide links and breadcrumbs when products or categories move. Keep a short list of important pages and their incoming links. Measure outcomes with your own analytics rather than treating the number of links as a success metric.
